The end of the free Internet. Once upon a time there was free sites, for music, and art. Likewize pictures. Suk web sites as Webshots used to allow you to download free pictures, mostly thumbnails as their called. Not so any more, now to be able to download those pics, you have to upgrade to their preminum package. Meaning, dig out your credit card. Once upon a time you could post employment ads on such sites as Yahoo, or MSN Classifieds, not any more. Now for an employer looking for workers you have to again rake out the plastic. Of course I'm not blind, or stupid here. Some things really need to be paid for. Music, I can see since the artists need the royalty money. In fact I can understand that, but not everything needs to have a price tag tied to it. Likewize I can understand some public safety things. After all for som molestor out there looking for prey, having some safety guards so that pedophiles can't entice some naive kid no matter the gender, for a job, just to paw them. But the internet was designed to be a free depository for information, not to be the end all of business more over offering products and services that are questionable. Like the stair-stepper, a few pieces of lumber covered by some indoor/outdoor carpet, price to make? A very few dollars. Sale price nearly $50.00 if not more. Congrats to that guy who made that and the huge profit he or she made. But not everything needs to have a price tag on the Internet. Of course that leads me to what used to be free TV. Versus Cable TV. With free TV one can understand although this could be improved, but with standard broadcast TV one can understand that a TV station runs those pesky infomercials. Hey that's big money. But with cable TV , we all pay to watch cable TV, yet overnight, only a very few cable TV channels has anything on worth watching, the rest? INFOMERCIALS. yet we are having to pay to watch paid TV. Why not pay us to watch moreover how about lower the cost of our cable tv subscription prices? This would be something worth doing. After all if we are going to watch programming that some company paid to put on TV, This would be a step in the right direction. Its time for a real revelution. and yes it will be The Hazzard County Knytes leading the charge. Stay tuned.
